Re: XC 70 Booster seats (JRL)

Yes the question is.... are they as comfortable and would one be able to tell if they were sitting one type versus the other? Given the choice, should they be avoided in favor of a car without them?

I think the seat w/o booster is marginally more comfortable, but this borders on splitting hairs because both are basically very comfy seats. If you had adult weight people planning on spending long periods in the back seat (e.g., teenagers on roadtrips) I might slightly favor the non-booster seat version. Otherwise it probably doesn't matter.

Re: XC 70 Booster seats (kenschel)

I have both, and I find no difference at all. As for the construction, the only difference is the open seam needed to create the booster seat. Otherwise I believe it's identical, and you probably couldn't tell.

Re: XC 70 Booster seats (3g3t7i)

I have only sat in the back of my car once and I have boosters and I could not even tell they were there and this is back to back with a ride in another XC70 without them. My kids are at the age where they use them and the boosters are priceless as I'm also taking clients to lunch at times and dealing with the child seats is just not fun. Now that my kids are the right weight and age and I own a Volvo, the days of car seats are in the rearview mirror.
D-

Are they an option that can be added without much issue?
Just purchase a seat bottom and that is it?
Thanks.

Re: XC 70 Booster seats (Willard)

If they're the same seats I'm thinking of, our '04 has it on both sides in the back seats. I can't tell the difference with and without them when sitting there. You just push them down hard and they pop up...no button.
