Since my last WTB post, many good cars have come on the board, but job realities being what they are, I need to shoot lower price-wise. Need a second car for local daily driving. Always have had Volvos so I know what to expect with another one.

I'm watching Craigslist ads, but would appreciate knowing if anyone on this board has a line on a well maintained, volvo without too many near term needs that is aesthetically decent as well (i.e. as little rust as possible, no major unaddressed damage). I can tinker and improve over time, but for the next six months I just need to drive without drama.

I'd prefer an 1995-1997 850 sedan or a s70; a later model 242 or 244 also good

Manual great, automatic fine.

Higher mileage is going to be fine obviously, given I need a price under $2000 and closer to 1500.

I'm in far northern NY, something closer is better but New England, eastern PA works.

Figure the chances are slim but...never hurts to ask.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks George, yep I've seen most of those listed in the past month. Some are gone already. I'm checking several craigslist cities/states every few days at this point. Something will pop up eventually, just depends on whether I'll be able to get there to see it soon enough.
