Re: WTB: 850 R 5-speed (Guan Yu)

Thats a pretty lucrative 850 you're looking for there! I suspect a 5 speed may be hard to get in Boston, but not impossible. All R 5 speeds were a Canuck option, several have filtered to you guys though. If you find one you should be quite happy to snag it off the market!!

Re: WTB: 850 R 5-speed (Spearzy)

There was a red sedan on ebay up your way about a year ago. The tough thing is getting them registered in the USA as they are not on the NHTSA list of cars that are importable. How the US ones got here, I have no idea.

My R was from Canada. To get a Canadian car smoged you have to get a letter from the BAR, and then get it inspected at a Referee station then you can get it smoged. It was a pain, took a month, but I got it done now it is all legal and registered

Re: WTB: 850 R 5-speed (Kaizai)

Kaizai, your car is automatic isn't it? The problem is getting the manual cars past NHTSA as technically the 5spd hpt was never sold here, so crash testing (I think) would need to be performed. I'm guessing the manual trannys that have gotten in have done so under the radar from my understanding of NHTSA's rules.
