Hello:
I'm sooooooooo close to getting my 1988 245's interior where I want it- can anyone help with the remaining few bits? Here's what I'm looking for; I need only one each unless otherwise specified:
1- High-mount brake light cover for a wagon. This is the interior plastic piece that covers the high-mount brake light on the inside of the tailgate glass. I need black, though I don't think they came in other colours.
2- Door post trim for the passenger side. This is the plastic piece that trims the interior side of the door post; there is a slot in it for the seat belt to pass through to the retractor mechanism. I need blue.
3- Seat belt swivel covers. These are the little plastic covers that cover up the bolt head on the seat belt's shoulder swivel. Need all four of these, in blue. (NOTE: These are different on different years; my car is a 1988. Also, the rear ones in a sedan do not fit the wagon. Been there, tried that.).
4- Lock button collar, in blue. This is the little plastic piece that trims the hole where the lock button passes through the door panel.
5- Rear floor tray, in blue. This is the optional floor tray mat you could buy from a Volvo dealer, with the Volvo logo on it. I have three of my car's originals, but one rear tray is missing. PART FOUND THROUGH THIS LISTING- NO LONGER LOOKING FOR THIS ONE. THANKS, SWEDESPEED AND MAXBRIX! STILL LOOKING FOR ALL OTHERS.
6- Seat skin for front seat (I do not need the backrest skin), in blue. The skin is interchangeable from left to right, so I can use one off a passenger or driver's seat. I'm looking for one with no cracks, cuts, tears, or other damage.
Thanks for looking, and if you have any of these pieces, please feel free to mail me direct at [email protected]

Modified by danemodsandy at 4:44 PM 5-22-2006

Re: WTB: 245 Interior Trim Bits (volvo_guy)

Hi:
I'm in the Atlanta area, where the turnover of cars in salvage yards is fast. It's not easy to find good vintage cars or parts here. This city has a huge lower-income population; most cars that are five or six years old end up getting sold to them at buy-here-pay-here used car lots. The car then gets trashed, because a lot of those owners don't know how to maintain a car and couldn't afford to if they did- all they can come up with is their payments. I can't tell you how many sad-looking older Volvos, Mercedes, BMW's, Cadillacs, and Lincolns this city has. By the time those folks junk a car, there's not a hell of a lot left. I've seen a Bertone here with K-Mart seat covers and primer on the roof where the vinyl used to be.
Thank God for eBay and boards like this!
