It probably has a high claim experience rating as well versus the others who tend to play to a more mature(other than a few SS members) audience. Re: (MagoonR)

yup...so the Evo is pretty much out now...for such high rates, it doesn't make any sense to not get a nicer car...the Z06 was VERY surprising...whats even more surprising is how cheap you can get one now...I'm honestly shocked at the prices

I saw this thread and thought to myself, "crap I haven't gotten insurance yet" and went straight to my agent to get insured - without the LoJack discount it's $700/year through Mercury Insurance. I have it as my "second car" since I work from home and have the multi-car discount.

Hmm, that does not surprise me, before I bought my R, I was considering a Subaru STI and looked into the insurance. The Subaru STI was double my R every 6 months. Yikes!!!! My local Subaru dealer did not like it when I told him I bought a Volvo. Me and my wife have been a loyal Subaru owners for the past 10 plus years now. We just like AWD!!!!!!!!!!

I must be doing something wrong! I'm paying $2780/yr for insurance! I'm sure the speeding ticket (that's due to drop off in November) and the HOV violation have something to do with it

I'm at about $1100 combined for both our cars. But I've been with USAA for 25 yrs, have a pretty good claims history, and live in a quasi-rural part of Wisconsin, all of which adds up (or subtracts out from my premium)
