I'm going to install XPEL headlight protection kit, and wondering what do you guys think on bumper and hood protection kits? Is it worth it? How well it hold up over the years?

p.s. If I go for it, I'll go to the local dealer. I did headlights once there and guy did very good job. I also did one install myself (S70 headlights) and I know I'll go to professional next time.

I did it on my S60r. Takes a little while, but it is a DIY job.

I'd love to, personally. I just had my front end repainted and I understand you can't use it on a repainted car?

really? I had couple spots on headlight where i was not able to get water/alcohol mix out and it dried out to the milky colored spot. I would hate to have it on the bumper..

Repaints OK

I recently had the front bumper of my S6 covered after replacing the original US bumpers with Euro bumpers. It was a custom job since there were no templates for Euro bumpers, and they did not get it right the first time. I took it back and had it redone properly - no problems with the paint whatsoever, which had cured for 6 month.
