Hello everyone,
My power/volume knob has rubber peeling off like pieces of skin.
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced worn control panel (audio, climate) knobs.
My car is a 2004.5 with 25k on it, but i am suprised to be experiencing this already.
Know if this sort of thing would be covered under warranty?
thanks

I had the same problem with my Porsche. The plastic pieces have a very thin rubber coating that started to peel off some of the more used controls. They were replaced under warranty, Volvo should be the same.

same thing 4 me. you must have a 6spd. my gorrilla paws used to poke the knobs during shifting until i got used to the comfy confines of the console area.
dealer replaced the whole unit. shame they couldn't just pop a knob on. drrrrr
btw, be careful w/ your dealer on this one. my "factory tech" kinked the aluminum console cover while r+r the unit... grade-a loser.

I will be there picking up my new V50, what luck! We will be going to Stuttgart to tour the Porsche factory also.
