Haha i know right? So damn true.
Well bad news. I f*cked them up. I was going for matte silver, but decided to add some reflective coating between the paint and clear. Then when I applied the matte, the entire thing just lost all traces of silver and looked like it had just been primered. Then I got fingerprints over it cuz i picked it up too roughly and ugh.
And I'm out of silver. And I have no money to buy more lol.
So I just primered them over everything again and probably am going to use the metallic blue I have.
Wish me luck.
As for DIY, its literally just what the directions say;
Full clean, clay, IPA wipedown, light sand, primer, wait 15 if a decently warm temp out and low humidiy, longer if necesary, 3 coats primer, I put on 6 coats of silver which is a bit of overkill but yeah, then clear. Just MAKE SURE you wait till it dries between coats and dont touch it for 24 hours after your last coat.
95% of painting is prep.
Round two was a fail of epic proportions.
Again.
Lol ok well I did everything right, but for some reason the paint and the primer were completely incompatable; the paint litearlly just started sheeting off when I started so I gave up. Sorry for those who were looking forward to it (AJ, my bad man lol)
But I did do something in place of it; which I like MUCH more...

Am I drunk?
Sry man but that is just too much, exactly when did subtleness leave the building..?
It might float your boat but it certanly sinks mine. Never in a million years would i walk around with a clown nose.
Too bad you had compatibility issues with paint, silver would have been better.

Back to the topic, I think it looks hideous. The silver would have been hot, but the red really just looks like u broke your side mirror cap and pulled it off from a red S40 because you were too cheap to buy a new one in your body color. Around here, I see lots of hispanic drivers doing the "replacement part" deal without painting it to match the body.
Lol I did both.
I dunno, I hated it when I thought of it, but I had it and I tried it and I like it...suprisingly.
Ill take some better pics, maybe itll change your mind. Its a very aggresive look...
And subtle wasnt a main priority for me lol.
