I haven't had much time to bed the brakes or drive the car since I got it put together yesterday, but everything is on.

Initial impressions of the exhaust is that I can feel a bit of a seat of the pants difference, and that it is also very subtle. No burble. The chrome tip is a bit much for me, and I may swap it out for the Volvo stainless one, but its not as bad as I'd thought it would be on the car.

How about next weekend? I'm clear. Maybe Saturday afternoon, or even Fri afternoon if Martin Motorsport is open. Do you have the C70 back yet?

This coming weekend sounds good to me, I didn't want to say anything because I thought most of people would like to have some sorta getaway during this long weekend.

I will try to see if I can break free this Friday afternoon. According to BB, doesn't sound like Martin opens on Sat now. Matt and I thought about going to Fairfax Volvo this coming weekend, too. I kinda want to meet Rich K, and if that dealer seems reasonablily okay, I might get my next Volvo there instead of 355.

We test drove the new XC this weekend, man..we were very impressed. I think the Ocean Race is a 'Go' if they do come out before the winter.

The c70...

Well, had an arguement with EIP guys this past weekend...and with Matt's help and my pissed off face, I think they will try to finish it this weekend.

Heheh..which means I will be doing some driving this weekend, was thinking about Skyline Drive cruise.

Yeah, let me know how you want to do this. I'd like to just visit Martin again with my car there. Of course, we don't want to be telling him anything (about my car)now, do we?

Hehehe...I got few funny claims and heard some stories from him last time. Not that I wanted to go after his claims bust his balls, but would just like to varify if he's for real or not. It is almost too fishy for some of the stuff he told me. Again, I'm just very picky like that...

Sounds pretty sweet!!! Bet you can't wait to test everything out. I went to Martin Motorsports Saturday hoping to check out Gary's V70, but Gary said he broke a shock mount and he fixed everthing and did a bunch of service items on Friday, so he didn't need to bring the V70 on Saturday. He said he usually goes into his shop Saturday mornings around 7:30am and then leaves around noon. Pretty nice guy to talk shop with. You should check out his daily driver BMW that's on coilovers and dropped 4.5 inches. If you guys go to Martin Motorsports, I'd definitely like to tag along.

Yeah, I was gonna say, it seems like Sat. morning will be the time for me to pick up the C70. We can try to do it on Friday...wanted to meet the guy again before he finds too much about me.
Hehehe...I was intrigued by the stories he told me about his cars, and his way of trying to make a sale on one of the cars in the lot.

Interesting fellow, but not sure if I trust him all that much, that's all. Anyone wants to call him up and see if he can stay a bit later on Friday afternoon?

Well, they are closed Aug 24-Sept 2nd. Sorry guys. Not sure what's up with that. We'll have to do it after I get back from Frankfurt.

I might be up for a short GTG this weekend though, maybe meet up at Washingtonian Center or something. I'd like to check out the C70. I also have a Volvo press vehicle in hand (S60 2.4 base model) that I could bring, or the R with the exhaust and brakes (

). Nothing against the S60, but I'd lean toward the R right now.

Yeah, this weekend will be good for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...you guys have no idea how anxious I've been. Well, pretty sure my fustration is more than obvious.

Man...one thing though, some of the stuff on the car, like the turbo and the dp, excites (in a funny way

) me just thinking about it.

Matt, I should be getting those new rotors right after the 2nd..now everything will really match up nicely. Too bad I can't say the same for the chessy paint job they have on my hood.

Sunday afternoon I did plan on something with my wife. I could do it morning, but some may have church. I could do it eveningish too, like around 7PM. Saturday late afternoon is fine for me as well.

Washingtonian is alright with me. I vote either Sat afternoon noonish to 3, or Sun evening dinnertime, either at Washingtonian.

I bought the same rotors and pads. They work great I just can't stop them from squeeling like mad. They were fine for about a month and then they screech and squeel. I tried the super expensive Volvo anti-squeel lube but no luck. The squeel comes from the front pads and as I understand there is nothing you can do about it. Do you have the metallic pads also?
