Can anyone help me unravel the mysteries of tapping into the S60's multiplexed wiring system? My current aim is to install a DC hourmeter on one of the spare accessory circuits. Later I will want to install non-Volvo audio upgrades and other devices. I have been warned by an official Volvo mechanic that this will do BAD things to the sensitive multiplexed electrical system, and that I should be a good boy and not touch anything. Can anyone share info on what steps can be taken to tap circuits without creating error codes and other real problems? Any info on the wiring diagram for a 2001 S60 would also be greatly appreciated.
