Anyone has been using it?
http://www.ipdusa.com/ProductsList.aspx?subSubCategoryID=207
I found the intermittent wiper setting on my Volvo to be of no use. A 6 seconds delay is not very good and sometimes dangerous. It is way too slow! My brother's car, a 1994 850 turbo has the same wiper configuration...
IPD seems to have found a way to "program" the interval? Any experience?
If only they could also modify the 4 stroke when washing the windshield!!! First stroke, cleaner. Second stroke, almost perfect. Third, perfect. Fourth, dirty again... Aargh!!!
JF

Re: Wiper delay control from IPD? (JF)

I think IPD is using a relay made by Bosch. VW used them. I had the same setup stock in my '94 Jetta GLX. You basically turn it on, turn it off, wait the interval, then turn it back on (at least that's how my Jetta worked). I don't know this for sure, so you could ask IPD, but I'm fairly certain.
It's very effective. I will probably do it to my 240 at some point.

I have the IPD Wiper Delay and it works great. You replace the wiper relay with the IPD relay. If you just turn on wipers you have the default 7 second delay. If you turn on wipers and then off, the delay is determined by the lenght of time before you turn them back on. Range is 2-22 seconds.
