I just completed the installation of my winter wheel/tire package. The installation went smoothly. The only additional step required was to remove the guide pins with an open face 10 mm wrench.
I ordered from the Tire Rack and had great service. Sport Edition Fox 5 wheels with Dunlap WinterSport M2 tires. Ride and handling seem unchanged to me. In fact, at the same psi of 38, the ride with the winter tires is a touch smoother. No increased noise and turn-in seems almost as sharp. Now I will have to wait for the first snow storm to see how the S60 will go. I believe with this package, I will do as well as my A6 quattro did with all season tires. Time will tell....

I cannot be certain about this without looking at my invoice from the Tire Rack. Thanks for posting a picture of the wheel.
Regards,
Jim

Any AWD (even w/ all season tires) will have a distinct advantage over a FWD shod with good tires, even snows.

Yannis
