Every time it rains and i have to use the windshield wipers on my '05 S60R i get residue from what i think are the actual windshield wiper blades on my windshield. It accumulates at the points where each wiper reverses and after an hour or so the wipers start to hop slightly as they get to they reversal points. I've had the dealer change the wipers blades once but made no difference so I've just been cleaning it off after every rainfall (tried a bunch of different products but windex and hard scrubbing seem to be the only way to get it off). Are there any products out there that would help the residue from accumulating on the windshield or are my blades just defective and I should have them replaced again?

Re: Windshield Wiper Residue - Never ending problem (Thesaurrex)

The wipers on my 05 R are the best I have ever experienced. Try just washing your windshield with plain 'ol car wash soap when you wash the whole car, then just make sure you dry it well to get rid of water spots. I have experienced this problem before on other cars when I have used products like Rain X. Since I have stopped using this I have not had any issues.
