Ok so I was going down the highway today with all my windows down, and sunroof closed. It began to rain so I closed the front windows first, and then I guess the cabin didn't like the pressure with just the rears open. The sunroof began chattering so I quickly re opened the front windows. As I did this the passenger window came off the track. This happened to my moms 04 xc but when it was cold out. She took it to Volvo because I wasn't home to look at it, but by the looks of it, the repair wont be easy. I have my door panel off, but I cant see the window because there is a panel in the way. Does anyone know how to remove the window and/or get it back on track because I don't have the hundreds of dollars Volvo wants to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TL:DR- How do I get my window out and/or back on track.

Okay well I got to the window, and did some deep searching on a bunch of volvo forums. It turns out that there are 2 blue "sliders" that slide in the window motor track, and thats what causes the window to fall out of track. The rear clip broke which caused the window to nose dive into the channel.
I found this information over on volvo forums. Figured I would post it to help anyone out in the future because I couldnt find any info on here.

"I will bet you will need to replace the wheels(Blocks) between the regulator and window glass.
3509416 is the part number of the blocks I will bet you will need. Each door has 2 of them. You might as well replace all 4 since you will be in there. Usually the plastic breaks on the front ones on each side causing the window problem you have."
"Here you go: http://www.fcpgroton.com/produ...d/334
Compare prices with the dealer. no problem, and yes I am in the process of doing this right now. I will take pictures of it for future reference. I just hope my volvo dealer has the right part. The part number is 3509416.
