The window in my 87 240 wagon doesn't go up and down properly. The front tends to want to "fall forward" Any one have any thoughts on how to make the window ride up and down properly. The gasket around the window is pretty chewed up. Could this be causing some of the problem?

Re: Window doesn't ride in track correctly (wingnut)

the window may have broken a mount to the lift mechanisim. pop the door panel off and take a gander.<p>ps. get a new seal too.

Get a new gasket. My old 240 did the same thing, it fell out of its track nearly every week almost every day, cause the gasket wasnt fitting right. As soon as the window was rolled down past half way, the window would come out.

I had the same problem. Turned out the window was no longer attached to the lift mechanism. Never did fix it, but if I was gentle rolling the window up and down, it worked out OK.
