Just this week I've burned some new CDs and I've found that even small bumps in the road will cause the player to skip. I was worried that maybe it was a problem with the stereo, but I have no problems with pre-recorded CDs.
1. I have not had any problems playing CD-Rs in my 613 CD Player.
2. I drive in pretty rough roads and do not experience any skipping.
3. I have heard that some CD players are more sensitive to coloured CDs - for example, my Sony DVD mega-changer will only reliably play silver (non-coloured) CD-Rs but not coloured CD-Rs. Weird but someone told me that the Sony's use a single beam laser that does not tolerate colour CDRs...not sure if this is true but thought I'd share it to see if it helps.
