Ah i dont think it well fit. The turbo is a different size. The R's turbo is larger then the turbo you have. The Inlet side is bigger so im thinking the exhaust side has to be bigger also. I may be wrong but im 90% sure in wont work.

Shoot just look at axle seals from 93-00
How many different part numbers are for axle seals when all axles are the same for FWD cars.

Re: (Chilled Man)

What do you mean by axle seals? Are you talking about where the Axle shaft goes in to the trans? If so there are alot of different types. The same part number may fit many different Volvo modles. But for instance Volvo's bolts alot of them may look a like but some are different grade steel or different coatings. There is more too it then just looks . Also volvo well also change the part #'s when they use a differnet manufacturer so they change the number part looks the same but is not made by the same people. But back to that downpipe question if your looking for one I have one off an 05 S60R 12,000 miles on it like new and i'll give you a real good deal. Let me know

but just as you said they change part# when they change manuactures.
So the same part that fits in that same spot can have a few different part numbers.

The bolt up is nearly the same but the pipes are slightly different in their length. you can make it work but it isn't technically a straight swap.
