What is the widest tire that will fit on an S60? Does it vary from trim to trim (base model, T5, R)? Nevermind the wheel, you can find most any rim that will fit a certain size tire. So...what is the widest tire (front and rear [can/might be different]) that will fit on an S60?
Thank ya!

Otherwise, your mileage will suffer and you risk rubbing in the wheel well. Wider tires also usually mean a lower profile. This will give you better handling but a compromised ride...

Re: Widest tire? (darylkaiser30)

Um.
The stock tires are wider than 8", they are ~9.25" (235mm IIRC).
I'm looking for a mm measurement, like how tires are measured. 245, 265, 285?

I think the consensus is that 235 is as big as you can go without needing to adjust steering stops and/or adding spacers to prevent rubbing (though some have had to do that with 235/45R17). 245s have been done by some R owners without too much of an issue, but I can't recall having seen anyone go bigger than that.

I plan on 245/245R17 when I replace my stock P6's. I have been advised that this is feasible...
