What do you consider affordable? How big you trying to go ?

 

17 or 18s and affordable probably like 700 at most. Replicas being okay. I have considered adapters also.

Why did Volvo decide to go with that pattern is a better question.

I'm looking for ccw classic replicas or rotiform reps. Just haven't found luck finding them in our bolt pattern.

Hub adapters are always an option too.

 

That's what I looked into. They would be 240 Ish for just adapters.

Well I guess it all depends on how bad you want the wheels then.

 

Oh, here in Sweden you got PLENTY of wheels to look at with 5x108. Since a few Fords use the same pattern you got something to look for there as well.

5x108 is always a problem. Our company came out with a few new styles this year, and almost nothing for that bolt pattern. We can drill a few 20", but that's awfully big for our cars.

But look at www.wheelpros.com as well as tsw wheels. MHT may have a few they could drill as well.

Adapters could be a problem, as our cars are already high offset. Since an adapter is going to be at the least a half inch thick, you would have to get a wheel with at least a +50 offset. Or better. Plus, I don't mind adapters on bolts, but as our cars have studs, I would tend to avoid.

 

it's a volvo. pay to play. adapters may be better than drilling as you can use them for other sets.

 

Believe it or not... Check craigslist.

I bought 18 inch Volvo original rims for 250... like new.

Check surrounding cities. I drove 4 hours to get them, but still cheaper than new.

 

Just do adapters. As hard as it is to find 5x108 wheels that look decent. Probably would be twice as hard selling them when you don't want them anymore.
