Was thinking about this the other day, and what better place to ask than a forum of seasoned enthusiasts!
Who is driving the lowest-mileage, 850R (estate/saloon)??
My '97 just turned the dials on 90k, hope everyone's having a great day!
I am looking at a Yellow T-5R that has 59K original miles.
Ironically when I sold my previous yellow it also had 59K miles. My old car is currently being stored, so I assume it has around 60k miles or so.
Crap. onequickbrick... I messed up- the "houston" thing threw me off... I had an earlier posting on this thread going on about how I almost purchased your car... Upon further investigation, you are not the droid I was looking for. Coincedentally, there WAS a fella who used "Houston" as part of his moniker, but this was someone different with a 95 yellow t5r in the S.F. bay area with what he was claiming to have 84k but with a broken odometer gear. I inquired and he maintained there was a way to establish an 850's true mileage through the car's onboard computer. I was skeptical, but actually found this to be very easy and helped me to find out my new t5r has 115k. So sorry to include you in an issue that had nothing to do with you. Lesson to all(especially me)... check the details and facts before posting... and do be skeptical of someone trying to sell a car with a broken odometer gear.
Anyone clear if merely swaping a vehicle's ecu would influence mileage readings???
Again, I owe onequickbrick an apology

Modified by bdub1022 at 6:21 AM 6-14-2009

Mine had about 72K when sold a year and a half ago, the new owners are not driving it that much so it may only have 75K on it now!
