I'll be there Friday and Saturday with the Volvo if it's not raining or just Saturday (without the Volvo) if rain is expected.

Based on last night's weather forecast, I have cancelled my hotel reservations at Carlisle and will not be going. Sorry to anyone who was hoping to see the car. Rob, you are always welcome to call or e-mail me and come by any time.

Check this out...http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/USPA0234?dayNumber=3&hour=0
I've been keeping my eyes open on the weather, too. I know sometimes it sounds like it'd have some pretty nasty weather, but take a look again before you make that kinda decision.
It is pretty much the once a year kinda thingy for East coast Volvo guys.

I'll keep my eye on it. There is an outside chance I would drive up early Saturday morning if it's going to clear, but I won't drive my car in the rain. I'm too lazy.
I know what you mean about a once a year chance. It's too bad really. I wish the VCOA meet were closer to the Mid-Atlantic region every year. I may go to an Import show at Maryland International Raceway (MIR) in July.

[This message has been edited by PWSchuh (edited 05-16-2002).]

But seems like the weather should clear up towards mid morning.
I'll see what's the general consensus is, maybe we'll do the caravan a little bit later..like 9~9:30 am depends on the weather. Don't worry, I've got the car in almost concourse condition (the keyword almost since Sean will probably still beat me to the best condition ), I would hate to see the car get all dirty before we even get to the show.
Let me know by email: [email protected]
Ok, the new plan is to meet at Romano's Macaroni Grille at 9:45 now. This is due to the rain. So Micheal and anyone else going, that's the plan. Kai and I will be there.
Rob

There were a lot of really nice older Volvos there. I saw a stock/original looking example of a 444, 122, 140, 164, and 1800. There were a couple of modified 122's and 1800's, and a 140 w/17" 850R Volan wheels. Irv's red 1800 looked good, but there was another red 1800 that looked better. I really liked the subtle looking cowl scoop on the hood, and the paint was excellent. I overheard the owner talking about the engine needing 100 octane to run right, so I assume it performed as well as it looked.
There was a wild 245 with custom white/yellow/purple paint and a monster stereo. It also featured a flat hood, e-code lights, painted/detailed engine & engine bay, custom interior work, and a rear hatch modified with a square license plate recess & shaved wiper/washer. The side trim and bumper trim holes had been welded up as well.
I didn't see a single GT, and not many 240 Turbos (a blue flathood and one other, I think). The pre-240 models definitely dominated the group this year, although there were a couple of nice 700 series cars, and many 240s.
The Saab and BMW sections were HUGE this year. A ton of Saab 900/9000 and 9-3/9-5. A majority of the BMW's were 70s models like the 1600 and 2002. A few M3's, 3 series, and an M6. A stunning black '88 M5 was also for sale at the show.

The roads was a bit wet before we got on 270, after that the weather was pretty decent. It was kinda cold that day, but no rain....

It was raining in VA when I left to meet the caravan in MD, but before I even got there the rain had stopped (around 9:15-9:30 I guess). It didn't rain a drop on the whole ride there, nor did it rain at all during the day. While I was packing up the car and getting ready to leave, it started to rain lightly. It stayed light for a while and picked up once we got back on rt.15. It didn't rain for long (~5min), and that was it for the day.
I went up on Friday too, and it didn't rain until 8 minutes after I left the showfield, on my way home (4:30pm). That was also a light sprinkle and it didn't last very long.
I don't know what Sunday was like in Carlisle, but at Summit Point it was chilly and windy, but no rain at all.

Did anyone go to the import show in Hershey on Sunday?
