The car is a 2004 C70 that was factory equipped with an SC-901, Dolby surround and a trunk mounted amplifier. The radio section went out so I replaced the head unit with a Kenwood KIV-901BT using a Metra power harness adapter and an ebay sourced DIN to RCA output adapter. Also installed is an Accele rear view camera and a Pro-Fit cradle for iPhone4.
Everything works very well except for 3 issues. When you turn the radio on, there is a pop/thump heard through the entire system. Whenever you step on the brake pedal, another pop is heard through the system. Finally, you can just barely hear a whine through the system whenever the music contains soft passages.
My gut instinct says the grounding isn't working the way it should. However, I welcome any suggestions on how to eliminate these issues.
