I've installed Eibach sport springs in my 2002 V70 and want to go lower. Without doing a full coilover setup which springs will bring me the most drop? I'm only getting 1.125" drop on the Eibachs even after a month. I'm looking for almost a 2" drop if possible. I know I could accomplish this by cutting the coils, but I'm not going to stoop to that level. I'll leave that to the ricers.

Re: Which springs go the lowest? (JTapper)

wow lol I was just about to ask the same thing. There's someone selling eibachs, so I looked at a local dudes s60 with eibachs and it looks like my stock t5 suspension setup so I think I'm going to go with the B&g springs. It's advertised as a 1.6 drop and I was kinda of skeptical at first... but it seems like it lowers the car more than the other offerings.
Only thing is that the only person right now that's selling b-g springs for our cars is this firm called group9 performance but one of the members on here(piglet) ordered the same springs from them and got the wrong ones. He's currently trying to get a hold of someone at group9 but he's getting the runaround so...idk
maybe i'll roll the dice and get the spring from them and hope they send the right ones out lol.
shox was the only other place that had them but it's not on the website anymore. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they have any left and i'll report back here to let you know.

Different emblems under the side markers too. Someone has too much time on their hands, perhaps they could just help me on my car instead.

Do the eibachs lower the front more than the rear, or is that just an optical illusion? It looks to me like the rear could stand to be just a hair lower to match the front on both those.

Re:

Hi all,
just dropped my V70 as well, I used Lesjöfors springs, sticker said -30mm, actually I figure its about -40mm i.e. some 1,6 inches.
I'm running on 18" alloys, with 235/40 tires. In general I think its enough, car is a lot more stable, plus the looks of course. Although the roads over here are very crappy so it isn's a joyride all the time
Proof of my moose

Re: (LloydDobler)

Indeed, the front is a little lower. I also am 1/8" off in the rears when comparing the drivers side and passenger side. Apparently this is within the tolerance of 1/4" but if I go lower, this 1/8" difference would be important. I actually removed and reinstalled them thinking I missed something somewhere and had the exact same result. Even after a month of driving on them there is a 1/8" difference. I hear that they will settle, so we'll see.

Re: (fightinchunk)

They're 20" wheels, and probably soon to be sold. I had them on an XC90 a figured I'd have them powdercoated and try them on my V70. I'm on the fence on the look, but have received nothing but positive comments, but the ride is a bit harsh. You you have just a slightly larger gap. Those tires/wheels are 1/4" taller than stock.
