Need to replace the front cupholder in my 98 V70R. I see both the closed loop and open loop styles available. Is there an advantage or disadavantage to either?

I think the open loop will hold a slightly larger cup.

Ive got a spare i snagged out of the last car, but sorry to say im not parting with it as we all know its just a matter of time before this one breaks! Quick walk through a local salvage yard usually yields a few of these tho...

both IPD and Tasca carry them. Got my replacement from IPD and it's great.

I prefer the open loop, stretches a tiny bit for bigger cups.

Thanks. Appreciate the help. Been looking on Ebay. Saw IPD has them as well. Figured the open loop may work a little better
