A little far to drive, but maybe interesting to know is that we've just properly set up a Performance section in the UK Volvo owners' club - oddly it didn't have one before, probably because most of the members tow caravans...(say no more).

If you have any interesting comments on perf. Volvos in the States or want to see the comments from the UK, some of which are relevant to your vehicles, visit the site on www.volvoclub.org.uk - there's a navigation list that'll get you to the forums.

Clifton NJ. 15 Miles west of Manhattan. I'd be very interested in attending Volvo events within the NYC metropolitan area, meeting other enthusiasts, and sharing experiences.... perhaps even participating in autocross events!

I'm from Western North Carolina, where I'm lost in a sea of either riced Hondas or growling V8s... Though it is quite fun beating someone ******* and with a look of complete puzzlement asking me what the hell is under the hood, it would be more fun to have a little more european cars around to have meets and terrorize the domestics a little more...

I'm from Seattle area. Lots of Scandinavians and that means lots of Volvos every where you go. Most of them are stock so I doubt that many people are on Swedespeed. The most abundent are 80-85 244. It always seems you are following ( or passing
) a 244. About a mile north of downtown there is a neighbordhood called Balard. Scandinavians will know where I'm talking about. Over there you see 544s, 1800s, and 240s. Everywhere else it is mostly v70, XCs, or s60s with a a couple 2/7/9 RWDs mixed in.

Does anyone live in Charleston SC? Nice town. That is another place has so many Volvos on the street you just want to stop traffic and talk to them.
