I am in the process of installing a new FMIC and I had a question about where to mount the iat sensor. It used to be mounted on my stock intercooler, but my new one doesn't have a place for the iat sensor. I read something about mounting it on the air box and it said it even helps add more hp/torque? But I dont have an air box I have a K&N Intake .. is there any way I can mount it on the CAI? Any other good places to mount ?

It's a combined IAT and MAP sensor, so if you don't put it on the IC output or somewhere very near it, you'll be altering the function of the ECU.

That said, if you don't want to modify your IC, then I suggest just leaving it open to the air. It'll basically give the same reading as the pre-boosted intake. But, beware of the possible negative consequences.
