The PCV system on the 2007 T5 engine is a strange new experience to me.

I can’t find the output. Usually this is the PCV valve connected to a vacuum source like the intake manifold. And I can’t find the fresh air input (or the over pressure escape hose) this usually a hose connected to the air box at atmospheric pressure.

I found the oil trap which is part of the oil filter and I believe this is in the middle of the system (similar function to a catch tank) to separate the oil from the blow by gasses.

Does anyone know where the system gets its vacuum and where it gets its fresh air?
Also where is the PCV valve that regulates the flow through the system?
