Seems like the buttons below the shifter are used to raise/lower the top.

The S40 has the DSTC button in place of one of the buttons. Now where did they move the DSTC button? IIRC all Volvos now come with DSTC standard.

Anyone who's been inside notice?

The DSTC button, from now on (and on all MY07 Volvos, excl. R models) will be on the trip computer stalk. Roll the wheel, past the usual avg. miles per gallon, avg mph etc., and you will see (on the message center) "DSTC ON". Push the reset button for a little more than one second and the message center will display "ANTI-SPIN CONTROL OFF". Push it back on and it will indicate "DSTC ON".

Again, this new feature is found in MY06 C70s and it will also be the new method on all MY07 Volvo with the exception of MY07 Rs.
