On my Civic there was a spare change compartment (or at least that's what I used it for) to the left of the steering wheel, a little more than halfway down the dash, on the R it'd be right underneath where the fuel latch release button is. The center arm rest's spaces are too big to throw change in so I just threw it in the vertical slot to the left of the radio later to just dump it at home. Where are you guys putting your spare change?

I noticed that when I switched over from an accord. It really bothers me. I just throw it in the compartment under the armrest and dig it out when I need it.

MY04's had a coin holder although it sucked. I betcha you could buy a S80 coin holder and mount it somewhere. It's very nice.

Volvo makes a small change holder but it needs a flat area to screw in on to.
The new consoles are tough. You could bolt it to the rear but unless you're arm is double jointed it would be hard to reach while driving.
It works great on the old (or new) XC square console
I have a couple of extras if you want to try to mount it or if you want to see a picture of it, IM me

That's the one.
(I have spares)
Personally Volvo went totally reverse.
My 850R has a nice change piece right over the OBD11 cover under the ashtray, holds about 8 or 9 quarters. ( The most usefull one in any car, ever. From then on they went downhill..)

Best place for spare change IMO is the "kangaroo pouch" at the front of the seats. Great for bills, too.
Tom.

I keep my change in the door, there's a little separated area from the main door compartment (just to the rear of it). It is very easy to reach, and I haven't noticed rattles. I do like those pouches though, I should use them more.

Re: Where do you put your spare change? (liverichly)

I keep a cap from an aerosol can in one of the cupholders, and dump my change into the cap. Then, just before I go into a store, I dump some of the coins into my pocket. It's much faster than using the fancy coin dispenser I bought at a Brookstone store. And much faster to dump the change from my pocket back into the cap than working the coins back into the coin dispenser.
