Where can I get a TME Exhaust (04 V70R)

1329 Views 22 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  redalrt
I've searched for a bit and can't quite seem to figure out where in the world I can source one of these exhaust systems. Can anyone help me out, or is anyone selling?

Thanks in advance.

You have to go directly trough TME. However the shipping and cost for just one is pretty high. If you do a group buy the cost is very reasonable.

Here is TME's website:

Well that sucks... Thanks for the info. For some reason I thought IPD sold them...but apparently they just sell the clamps? Maybe I'll just have a custom exhaust fabricated...

They did.
I had one on my 04 and one on my 06
(Both went with the R's)

I know there is a great deal going on for the BSR units from a dude here in CA.
I know COOLBOB37 just bought one, he should be able to shed some light on his experience.

Going custom is always an option, but the TME units sure look sexy.

Wish you could have got in on our recent GB...

I'm fitting my '05 vR with new TME DP and Exhaust this weekend. Parts look well made.

will post pix and review when done.

This is what I have:

Same thing as BSR. Was at my door in a week after I ordered it.

I must be missing something. I got my TME exhaust from IPD. Have things changed?? oclv

Yep IPD hasn't carried the TME exhaust in several years.
Currently there is no US distributor for TME products.
The only way is to go through TME directly and if you are going it alone the price is damn steep.
Doing a GB really makes it worth it, but getting a GB together could be tough...

You're going to love the note with this combo. Subtle, yet noticeably deeper, and not crazy loud at high RPMs. Its exactly what I was looking for. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Hahahha...fair enough. Its all about stealth man...

Joe - yeah, finally got it installed - stoked. Got a CEL about 200 miles after the install, I'm assuming from from the DP - gotta read the code to be sure. Talked to a guy from your neck of the woods at Thunderhill that had the same problem (not sure which brand). He clears it...and it eventually comes back. Thinking CEL "Boss" will do the trick. Solid day at the track turned my tips "gold" - oh well, unanticipated custom bling.

Sweet! When I was having my exhaust installed by Smothers, Matt told me about the problems with DPs and the R's. He mentioned that several owners were getting CELs from the DP's and he believed that some of the cars are more sensitive to the flow of the DP's and are throwing the code. Howerver some cars never threw a code.

Like you said a boss probably will do the trick.

Mmmm, track day = me jealous as hell!

the CEL boss will work.

I use one with my 3.5" dp now. The light is off =D

Also, I do feel bad for driving through my neighborhood at 3am with the exhaust.

Bah, oh well.
Re: (chinaonnitrous1)

Sorry China, I am with Michael on the stealthness.

Driving at 3am, you young'ns have all the fun...

It gets old tho. I had the stock exhaust w/ JRL mod on for a week for the insurance estimate. It actually sounded really pleasant.

Thats why I drive my bone stock 278k mile Toyota Mr2 typcially every day. I drove the volvo to the Half Moon Bay meet, then the week after to Davis, and thats it.

I guess we have gotten OT here but dude, you do know your R feels like a red headed step child when it sees you driving that MR2, right.
