I'm moving to the Bay Area in about 2 weeks, and getting my S60R in about 4 weeks. It seems like 91 cannot quench the R's thirst. I was wondering if anyone knew where you could get higher octane gas in the area. I don't expect to find 93 since we're in California, but maybe I could find 100 octane to mix. TIA http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Well, the R will run on the 91 octane pisswater - I have run up 12,000 miles on the pisswater. It is just that it likes to run on better. Depending on where you live in Sunnyvale (or where you work), it would seem that the S. San Jose 76 station would be your best bet for blending. I have found that I get the best results from blending 6 gallons of 100 octane with 10 gallons of Chevron 91 octane - high octane for performance and high detergent (76/Sunocco is not on the TopTier list of high detergent gasoline suppliers) for driveability. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
