I have had no problems with my R other than the radiator cracking and the dealer replacing it under warranty.
I am at 50K and wonder when i should expect my next huge maintenance service. spark plugs etc.......
I will def need to get new pads and rotors since my rotors have not been replaced yet but i am sure they are starting to warp.
Any clue anyone ?
how many miles should a s60R 06 model be services for oil change 5K or 3,500?

Re: When should i get Super Service Done 50K (dieselfitzs60R)

Welcome to SS.
First recommendation, please change your user profile (drop the Sports Edition):
2006 s60-R Sports Edition
Second recommendation: refer to your owner's manual for service items, nothing special at 50K though you should consider all fluid changes if you haven't done any yet. plugs are 60K IIRC
Third recommendation: search the MANY discussions on oil intervals and proper type/weight; what have you done for the past 50K?

Again, welcome. I work in Sterling and live down in Springfield / Burke. There are many on here who live in NOVA.
Yes, plugs are 60k.
Oil is up to you. You can play it safe or you can gamble. As Magoon said, many threads on oil.
How have you been servicing it up to this point? Factory schedule? Nothing other than oil changes and issues?

Welcome.
I changed my plugs at 50 and what a difference it made. Maybe it's in my head, but the car feels a lot faster. Maybe there was something wrong with one of them before. They were worn a bit, but I didn't expect this.

Also, if brake rotors never warped, manufacturers wouldnt have maximum rotor runout measurements to backup warranty rotor replacements.

Glad to see another person taking up the cause to debunk the "warped rotor" myth.
The problem is that far too many people have heard this from their automotive "experts" of choice. It is right up there with "batteries discharge if you set them on concrete", "being in the cold, will result in you catching a cold", or that kids can get a "sugar high".
I have 125K miles on my rotors, they are within thickness spec., and they are not "warped".

It is a result of pad deposit on the disc. Put your dial indicator on the perimeter of the disc, where there is no pad deposit. Assuming proper mounting, I suspect you will see little "warping", just normal run-out tolerance.
