I have 17" Tethys Alloy Wheels..cleaning them all the way through is a pain..any suggestions? I saw an Armorall product, but it had many cautions on it and I am wary of just "spray and rinse."

All purpose cleaner (usually green in color), spray on once a week and rinse with a high pressure hose. I do that on mine, once a week; I have not (physically) touched my wheels with a sponge for 2 months now. Works like a charm!

Are you referring to something called "Simple Green"?

I have not seen or used "Simple Green", only have heard the name. Not sure what properties this has.

But I am sure it is pretty easy to get hold of an all-purpose cleaner. I have found out that if you do it often enough no scrubbing is needed; just spray on and rinse off.

I just posted on the detailing forum a while back. Try Maguires Hot Rims...pink transparent bottle....this stuff works great...Wal Mart Carries It

This is a spray and rinse...I've been using it on my 2000 v70 SE (six spoke 15" not sure of name" no problems...my mother in law uses it on her 2002 v70 as well.....you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Excuse my ignorance but is "Simple Green" a car cleaning product or a household clean all? I'm not familiar with it in the UK but would love to get my hands on something to make cleaning the Thor alloys a bit easier. I've not used / seen anything here that's just a spray on / clean off solution.
I'm in Canada on vacation in a few weeks - must buy some of this stuff - if I can convince my wife to make a detour to a car place - yeah right

I picked up the huge jug of it at Costco. Its pretty cheap to use and it doesn't have any toxic smell to it. I use it to clean my Thor's and it cleans most of the brake dust off and then I clean it a bit with normal car wash soap and a car wash mit for a really shiny wheel.

Simple Green is a multi-purpose cleaner. It is usually found in the Auto section though. Just find the section that contains car wash, wax, etc..and you should find it. Good luck.
