Need to know what's your VIP coverage, and how much you paid.
I was quoted $2200 for 6 yr 100k miles.

Re: What's your VIP warranty coverage? (stevectsai)

We purchased the 7-year 100K extended Volvo Factory coverage (TotalCare plan) for around $1800. This was last October from Yannis at Stillman Volvo on the east coast. Our R hadn't even arrived in L.A. from our OSD trip but Stillman had a sale on the plan. Since we had already taken posession of the car in Goteborg in August and had all the paperwork on hand, they were able to sell us the extended warranty. While I was at it, I got the special tire and wheel warranty as well.
I haven't heard of any other warranty deals since, but I've also been away from the forum lately.
Yannis is now at MB in San Diego and I wish him the best.
Check out the OSD forum. Perhaps you can contact Melissa Stillman and see if they're running any specials.
Good luck!
06 S60R
03 325ci

I bought the VFM (Volvo Factory Maintenance Program) when I traded my 05 for my 06. The 06's did not come with scheduled service.
I paid 1770.00 for full maintenance including brakes, brake pads and wiper blades.
Hope that helps.

When I bought my 2006 GT it was a demo but was being sold as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. While trying to widdle the price down the dealer offered me to take the certification away (and the 6yr/100k coverage) for around $1800. Now I dont know if thats an exact number for someone purchasing it after the fact but its an estimate none-the-less.

Volvo offers many different warranty plans based on varying deductibles...IMO they're all a rip-off. Have them certify the car, they can do this for any car still under the original warranty (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong). I had them certify my car after I bought it for $1500 with no deductible. Look in to it. It's worth it if you truly want the 100K coverage.

Are you saying its better to just purchase a CPO volvo since they come with warranty instead of bying a Brand New and paying 2k for the extented warranty?

So for example, lets say your 04 R is getting close to the 50k mile limit of the original factory warranty. You can take it in and have them, Volvo, "certify" it (much like they would do to a CPO) and then you'll get the extended warranty package just like the CPO vehicles. All for $x,xxx.00
