No idea what these two harnesses are for. They are with the spare tire.

I actually pretty much know what this is, but just curious anyways. It's for the sat nav (if installed) right?

I've actually seen threads were something with these connectors were discussed but I can't remember what it was about and they are for. Is there anything fun I can do with these?

Thanks

so, could I just plug an IMIV iPod adapter into these?

Yes, the last picture you have is the melbus cable, you can plug the iMIV directly into it. But, then you have to buy the long power cable. They get you coming or going.

That second one has to be some sort of antenna, you're probably right on the Satellite thing.

No idea on the first.

you gonna make me go out and take a picture of it, at this hour ?

look, why you care anyway?

if you had NAV, CD changer, subwoofer, trailer hitch, Sirus, rear park assist, etc. it would be pretty obvious what plugs into what.

haha... no, pete, you don't have to. Unless you really want to.

I guess the black and red (16 or 18 gauge) wires are just power, the audio comes from the grey cables... this is very interesting. Just went out with a speaker and plugged it in to the pins.

Not sure about the others but the first two are terminals that will facilitate monthly monitoring by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency for compliance with the acceleration, braking, exhaust note, and exhilaration restrictions that will take effect in 2010. Part of the Cap and Trade program.

I thought one of the first two is the hook up for the towing accessory.

You are correct the first one is to hook up the OEM towing harness. I ordered the OEM harness ($70 something) and then went and got a universal 4 plug male towing connector. Cut off the European spec plug (looks like a gatling gun) as it is useless hear, sautered on the new connector, then used electrical shrink wrap to make it look completely stock http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Pic 1 has both the subwoofer harness AND the towing harness, I think the sub is on the right, towing on the left.

edit: I was wrong, apparently
