What's should I ask the dealer to turn on if I want my blower to run to recirc fresh air when it's hot out? I forget what it's called.

I'm thinking you mean when you have to run the AC in the summer, to have the fans run after you shut down the car to blow out the condensation so it doesn't smell?

I had female service writers in NY and you did not want to be thinking about blowby when you looked at them. Auto or otherwise.

There were three at the dealer I worked at. All still there.
No men service advisers.

Actually it is now called "Blower Fan Run-On", but I suspect most dealers will not recognize that and refer to it as "Afterblow".

After blow is when your blower motor gets turned back on after you turn the car off and the a/c had been running. It drys out the evaporator and hvac box. It is also called run on.

Im not sure if this is what the OP is asking about, but you cant "recirculate" fresh air.

It dries the AC evaporator which will reduce the liklihood of odor causing bacteria to grow in there.

Is this the same thing as air coming out of the vents?

This past weekend, after unlocking the doors the vents were on. We had been out of the car for at least 45mins and it was hot out. So when we got in the car, we were like... the fans are on?

Yes, blower runs at high speed for 7 minutes, 50 minutes after shutdown to remove moisture from evaporator.
