What, books are you reading?
I am reading Vengeance (the original hard cover, bought used, not the re-printed released to coincide with the movie), the book behind the movie Munich. So far, I've noticed the movie is factually pretty true to the book. Although I just read an article on the 'controversy' around the movie v. the book.
Some people object to the political statements made in the movie that are not in the book, and conversely are not happy political statements in the book are not included in the movie.
Eitherway, I think both are good

Re: What's on your nightstand (gdill2)

Just finished reading this one:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/produ...=UTF8
Liked until the end. The final chapter fizzles out and is incomplete, as if the author had gotten tired of the book...

3 books on photography by Bryan Peterson (Great author on the subject if anyone is interested) and an advanced manual for my Canon 20D.
All 3 of these books are literally on the nightstand. No kidding either.

I keep a strange lot (and a cluttered nightstand):
Diversionary:
The Bourne Supremacy - Ludlum
Professional:
Just finished: Boyd, the Fighter Pilot who Changed the Art of War - Coram
Next up: The Sling and the Stone - Hammes
A mess of Periodicals, usually:
The Economist
American Hunter
Bicycling
Bible:
Currently reading the NASB version. Favorite bedside reading translation is The Message.
Grace for the Moment - Lucado (Actually on my wife's side, but a common item of discussion)
And like Bob, usually an assortment of kids' books too (kudos to you Bob). Currently I can see The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Go, Dog, Go!. The older kids are better about taking their books back to their room.

Answering the title literally and in no particular order; my clock, a sound machine, a throat moistening spray and lip balm.
I never, ever have read in bed in my life, too uncomfortable. A bed is for sleeping, watching TV and oh, that other thing that people do at times
30 years ago that order was reversed (still never read)
