Doing some work under the car and noticed what looked like a missing bushing... is it?

As well as no brush guard under the engine... worth spending money for one?

Rs did not come with a splash guard for cooling reasons. Looks like you have a fairly large fluid leak.

From my electronic gismo- Galaxy S6

I'm gonna say angle gear. Check the level every oil change. Being wet under there isn't a huge issue... It's a 5 cylinder AWD Volvo... When it starts getting on the driveway that is when it is time to reseal.

No bushing there, that's just where the steering rack mounts to the subframe. I'd more more worried about what looks like a rear main seal leak. Might want to check the state of your PCV system.

Sorry... I should have prefaced this... Just did a PCV job (posted on here) and that is all residual from a power steering leak and a bad PCV... was really just wondering about that bushing... so there is nothing that mounts there?

A lot of those things are for crash safety, passing energy between components on the car. So the only time those will contact is if you hit something hard.
