You ever hear of banks not lending money on used cars with over 100K ?!?!? someone told me this recently...

Well if you wanna sell it to me I'd say the book Value is a few hundred dollars. I'll pay cash, so don't worry about the 100K!
Hahaha, I'd say it is worth about $14,500 - $17,000 Canadian, but in the US prices don't seem to reflect the dollar value exactly on exchange. On the conservative side it's probably worth $12,500 USD IMO.

Re: what's fair price for my 97 R wagon? (850Rwagon)

Hi,
I've been trying to sell my 97 R wagon for a while now....Latest price was $14.5K. Not a good market for used cars in general...Went to the dealer a while back (when the car had 96K on it---it is now at 103000) and he offered 12,500 trade in... I think they can stick it out on the lot for around 17 to 18K with your mileage....
Your best bet is private sale...(just be patient)...the IPD stuff is a definite plus...I am guessing 15K would be a really fair price....
As far as the 100K limit for financing....I haven't heard of that one.....Most lenders are looking for loan to value ratio..obviously as mileage goes up ...value goes down.... I think KBB lists the trade in value at around 10K.... with 100k miles....This is probably the figure most lenders would start with...... and the fact that most 97's would only qualify for 3 years of financing....think about the payments on $15k over 36months......pretty steep...
Good luck selling...
Regards..
Tom
[email protected]
97 850R Bright A$$ red...
