Its alot of work. Deff a whole days worth if its your first time. Ideally that spring install price includes alignment. $120 is a nice chunk of the install price.
If you have the whole day its a good learning experience. Pretty interesting to do on the volvo.

A decent set of sockets, a torque wrench, a jack, a friend(just a pair of hands, not a car person) Maybe a crowbar.

There are videos on youtube. You don't really need much more than basic tools. You should be able to rent the spring compressor from Auto Zone.

Id do spring installs for 100$ on the side and give ya an alignment if i could lol. Thats easy money.
Long as you have a spring compressor and basic knowledge of suspension you should be able to properly and safely be able to do these yourself. Ive seen quite a few good walk thrus on here that would be very helpful for someone new looking to do this theirselves.

I was quoted $240 for spring install, $150 for rear camber arm install, $150 for alignment, plus the cost of parts... So I'm doing it myself (with the help of a friend) next weekend and am only paying for an alignment.
That labor costs almost the same as the parts do...

When I had my springs installed my indie guy told me if he charges the actual amount of time it takes to do springs no one would want to come to him because it would be $500-600, so he charges less for spring installs to show his customers he cares. $250, including alignment. All other places quoted me $625-750. I'm going to get the rear camber arms soon, and attempt to do them myself.

Wow, I paid much less than that for coilover installation. $550 is crazy! and I hope it includes and alignment.

Re: whats a good price? (Moofluffen)

Coilovers should be less, they are much easier to install since no spring compressor is necessary and its usually an easy swap. Long as your not spending hours adjusting the height should only take an hour or two.
