Would rolling fenders possibly be enough or would there be other requirements to get them to fit without rubbing? Let me know what you guys think, I've heard of a couple S40s running 20s but not any normal users on here...

20s are just too big. They look funny in the wheel wells.
Really? I have been thinking about it and it seems like one of most peoples complaints about our car is the wheel wells seem to never be filled in, so I was thinking 20"s just might fill them in. Do you have any pics to help me see what you mean?

I think this is a good example. Those are 19s but still tucked somewhat making the wheel not look as big but still ballin. And the only problem with that black car is that it is touching the damn sky...
I don't have any pics of the wheels on anything, and the tires have already been removed. They are Heico Volution Vs. I think they'd look pretty sweet, that guy's car on the cardomain doesn't look lowered, and those wheels are ghetto fabulous in my eyes...
"ghetto fabulous"...i second that. Those wheels on that c30 you posted with the CF diffuser HAVE to be at least 19s maybe 20s, and they look sick! Have you thought about fenders like something on the Heico s40 race car (flat blue) which would 1. make the heico lip useful and 2. take a little away from the massive wheels...just a thought
Those wheels on the C30 were 19"s, the same exact wheel just 1" smaller than the ones I could have. According to the wheel calculator the setup I am running now 235/35/19 is basically identical to 235/30/20. The only problem I see is the offset...my current wheels are ET 38, offset of my Hiros was 40. The Heicos have an ET of 49...
I am not a genius when it comes to this stuff, anyone able to translate this out for me?
ehhh.....imo opinion sometimes I look at my 19's and I'm already like they're too big. I had a choice between 19's and 20's when I was doing the custom ordering, and the price was the same....but the big closer for me was that 20 inch tires were just much more expensive.....and the selection was drastically less.
I dunno Bro, I think that there is a proper size for everything. When something too large is fitted on a car, then it begins to take away from the car (ie. super large rims, or super large spoiler, etc.)
I don't think it will look like it belongs on the car.
Volutions weigh a lot in 18" and 19", they weigh a TON in 20". I would stay away based on that. You are going to be choking your car at low RPMs trying to get those things moving. Stick with a light weight 18 or 19.
Yeah, that black S40 is in serious need of some lowering springs. I agree that there is an ideal size, and for the S40/V50 it is 18". I believe 19" can look really good with some careful tweaks, but 20s would take professionals to get it right (see: Heico).
BTW, chendawg, your 19s look really good. Well done http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
I agree with you guys for the most part. The reason why I have even entertained the idea is because the AWD sits so much higher than the FWD, and it looks like -according to the wheel calculator- there is not really much of a difference between my current 235/35/19 setup and the 235/30/20 setup. I think I will attempt to photoshop the wheels from the Odin onto my car, if anyone else wants to try it let me know and I can post up a pic of my car. Thanks for the input guys.
