When a situation arises where the vehicle built doesn't match what you have ordered, what is the appropriate course of action? Of course, I'm talking about if the discrepancy is in writing and is as clear as night & day. Do you refuse delivery at FDC? Would they give you a loaner for your OSD travels as they rectify the problem? Do you need to immediately try to contact VCNA or your dealer, both of whom may still be asleep in North America when you take delivery?

Some of you may have already seen this thread on the 2016 XC90 forum:

The situation I'm describing may be slightly different in that the correct specs were clearly listed in the OSD Welcome Pack.

Just curious about what one should do in a situation like that?

thanks!

If you have an OSD bill of sale from your welcome package... and the vehicle does not match the order, then you have a legit complaint.

Contacting your dealer won't do much if you are already at the delivery center. Show the management your written proof and ask them
what can be done
