I want to get some ramps, and the right size open-end wrench to ultimately change the oil (and trans fluid) on the Volvo. What mm (size) open-end wrench will I need to do this? Thank you!

Also, what kind of socket (size) do I need to get the oil filter housing off? And it is a spin-on cartridge-type filter? Thank you!

Oil filter housing is a proprietary Volvo tool,

You probably won't be able to find it locally, it's a weird size that no other cap wrench fits. Get a box of OEM OX-149D filters from FCP and be set for awhile.

Oil is 17mm, trans is 24mm if I remember correctly. You don't need open end wrenches for these. A 1/2" drive ratchet with a 1-2" extension will clear the power steering line and allow you to use the 24mm socket on the trans drain plug.
