I wish I had a window sticker (and wouldn't be bad to be and original owner as well...)
Go by your dealer (if you have one) be nice to the service manager and ask him to run the VIN for the warranty sheet. It will show how the car was built, all the options it came with and sometimes the wood color! (not always, but some of the time).
If you're unsuccessful, email me your VIN
I spotted the shifter bezel piece on feebay and emailed to seller asking for close up pictures.
He wrote me back saying "volvo uses real wood that is laminated as you know ".
When I politely said that is not, he replied with that:
"I have seen the wood splinter so it is thin real wood with polyurethane and then laminated. "
He definably haven't seen my picture where the film broke across the "grain"..
