So, I am curious, what kind of exhaust is everyone running. Please select which one you have! If you have a custom exhaust setup, please list where you had it made and how much they charged you, if you are willing to share!
I am ONLY talking about the cat-back, not your downpipe!
If your exhaust isn't on the list, then add it!
Thanks for your participation!

I voted for EST, which I have currently (and is my favorite), but I've had the JRL, Svenske, and EST. I'm hoping to get into RKelly territory someday!

Leave it to SS to take something simple, and make it silly

Just put the EST on this weekend, and it sounds great. No drone at highway, but good WOT sound/response, and a pleasant burble when shifting to neutral.

Let me rephrase that...from 1/4 to 3/4 throttle it sounds great. At WOT, all I hear is my open air box now....and a leak from the flange. (new gasket on the way).
But even the TME (IPD) on my T5 was "quiet" at WOT. It's all engine noise after a certain RPM.

Others may have experienced otherwise...
The SOUND is awesome it seems, regardles of what you do, but keeping the droning out of the car is the key.

You could always have them cut the pipe behind the resonator and weld a new flange + 3" pipe section in its place. This way, you'll still have the flange + resonator setup to weld back on if you so desired.
I'm thinking of this myself.

Re: What kind of exhaust do you have? (GiRaff3)

I have a straight, large diameter (3"?) pipe starting from the Catalytic Converter with a single Oval tip at the back of the car.
It has a single Magnaflow resonator right behind the Catalytic Converter.
I bought the car used so I don't know what to call it. Anybody know?
The volvo dealer here in Denver thinks it was installed at the point of sale and is factory authorized. (Anyway to tell?)
Thank you.
(My wife thinks the car is too loud but I love it.)
