It is an FMIC. Volvo R's have two intercoolers, the main one and the smaller one you see. Made for more marketing hype than actual performance and many install a single, larger intercooler.

oh ok !!<br>is it better to upgrade to a only one aftermarket Fmic and to remove the stock fmic and disconnect the main intercooller ?<BR><BR>

BOTH get removed, one large FMIC is installed in place of them

Of course, that all depends on how big of an aftermarked FMIC you get. 800 CFM seems to be the choice size.

IMO the single most important mod you can do for consistent, reliable performance improvement.
