it's at all speeds, and just gets progressively louder and faster as speed rises. I see evidence of tire rub on the lower left front spring, but none of the control arm/tie-rod/etc, look bad. It doesn't happen over bumps, turns, it's just there, like a rhythmic thumping that happens with the turning of the wheel. I thought at first I had a flat, but the tire/wheel looked fine.

anyone have ANY clues on how to attack this suspension(?) problem, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Check to see if your front fender liners (black plastic) and mud flaps are securely attached to the car. They may be loose and flapping around.

Either way I would not drive the car making that kind of noise! Eek!

this gets crazier.. so I took the car up to 70mph over the weekend, and the thump completely disappeared. my car is possessed. It's time to get a Saab.
