This is probably more a poll about the average age of internet users, rather than the average age of XC90 buyers. I'm sure the actual average age is higher.
First, yes, very fortunate and lucky, certainly lucky my wife married me. My wife is two years younger than me and this is our fourth XC 90 - first 11 years ago in real time. I remember waiting for Volvo to build an SUV.
Totally agree... Any position that allows you to afford a $60k+ car is great imo... It was the sarcastic tone of the poster that threw me off....

Well I've been buying Volvos as my primary car for a little over 40 years, so this likely makes me an older fella here. I did select and clicked my age in the Poll just for the record. My whole family owns Volvos and 3 of us have XC90s.

Not sure The poll results are also a function of people who post on automotive boards, which is more age related than is car purchasing. I am a heavy computer user, but I never before posted on one, and hard to separate leasers from buyers. I bought mine because I wanted an FE.

Agree with both of you, the 30-40 year olds are likely working now and have grown up with the internet and love it. Having to sit in an office all day, for some of us at least, can lead to a little down time. I doubt you get many college aged kids checking out volvos in their spare time, or elderly people, or retired folks. But, the 30-40 year olds are in the age range where having kids is pretty normal. So, yeah, agree with you both. I likely wouldn't have gotten an xc90 if it wasn't for my kiddo, and that has nothing to do with money or not liking it. I just wouldn't have had safety as big of a priority as it is now if I were driving myself around

Most of the users on this forum will be the under 40 age range. A few outliers but that's definitely the results reason. -34 years old xc90 buyer
