There is no perfect car, but I love my R.
Having said that, I can't stand the memory seating system. The only way for it to work is to have me lock the car with my key. Then my wife has lock it with her key. In return, I have to unlock with my key. It is THE worst system! I shouldn't have to lock my car inside my own garage.
All that should be necessary for my seat and mirror position to work is that click on my remote (my GM SUV is like that, for example). Poor design. Otherwise love the R!

My worst feature is the "clunk" in the trunk when I go over small bumps at low speeds. I have went as far as taking the complete assembly for the spare tire out and removed all of the carpet in there to eliminate possibilities. It was STILL THERE!

By far the worst feature is the turning radius.
My parents Toyota Sienna does circles around the R, literally. I wonder how the AWD version compares...

In order...
1) If resale value is a feature, then it's probably the worst feature of R.
3) Stock springs/rear sway bar (tie).
3) US headlights (tie).
-Eric

The curb feelers ... er, I should say the front spoiler lips on the sport kit.

I think all of the above quite sums it up

I've gotten used to the turning circle. It really doesn't bother me. Still, it is a little strange that my Denali can make a tighter turn.
The headlights are OK, especially after adjusting them up. I really don't mind them. Would I prefer the Euro-spec lights? I sure would, but not for $2200 (parts alone).
Resale value isn't really feature, but Saab and Volvo's have never had good resale values. This is something one should have known coming by doing a little research. Frankly, if you keep your car for 6-8 years and put 150,000 miles on her, resale value doesn't matter that much. Also, if you compare with an S4 or M3, you save a lot money up front by buying a car that is about $10,000 cheaper. Lastly, resale value depends on your negotiating abilities. If you don't know what you are doing, you could get shafted even on a BMW or Acura.
Sidehop, I would agree does suck a little.

1. turning radius
2. U.S. high-beams
I also dislike the single lock button on the door panel. If you open the door, hit the button it locks the door and then you have to hit it again to unlock the entire car -- a simple lock & unlock button on the door panel, like Volvo had on the previous V70/S70 would be better. Sure, hit the button before exiting the car solves the problem but I don't feel that is the most intuitive approach.

Turning radius, hands down!
Headlights
Lack of cool emblem like the Viggen, I wish Volvo made military hardware!

Turning radius - it's embarrasing.
Wasn't the old Volvos (back in the 80s) well known for the very tight turning radius?

Dangerous headlights would have to be number one, foglights are useless

I am surprised that no one mentioned the crappy PZeros that come stock on the R.
