Those wheels are HEAVY. About 27lbs each. In comparison, the much more expensive RKII is 21.5lbs for the same size. And the 17x7.5 RKII is only 20.7lbs.

I think the Heico wheels look much better than the Fittipaldi.

I guess if you are into racing your Volvo or just over weight then every lb matters

Thanks for the heads up but I don't really like the Fittipaldi wheels. I would buy the BBS RKII's, but they don't fit the s/c70's.

Do a search on "unsprung weight", as to the effects it has on handling, braking, acceleration, ride quality, etc. If the ONLY reason that someone is buying wheels is for how they look, then weight probably doesn't matter. For anyone else, I think weight should at least be considered.

I like these, http://www.volvotuning.com/pictures/events/boston/14.jpeg This is my car. They weigh 21lbs. They cost $150.00 each with no S&H in the U.S. They are a one piece wheel with a machined lip. I've had them on my car for 7 months and have been very satisfied with them, it was a better alternative to the TSW Hockenhiems that I liked to start with.

I couldn't get the link to work but if you follow the link then continue to the members page and then "events" and then Boston-July 8. My car was the only black 850

hi!

i think they look too 'busy', and like they'd be b*tch to keep clean and pretty,...

my tastes run towards something simpler, like the RKs that you started with, or the wheels on billyrays 850.

WRT lighter wheels and unsprung weight; lighter would be better, if you can make a wheel lighter and still have it be strong enough for the street use that it's probably going to see. as an example, i've get a set of Fondmetal 17"ers off the family Saab ragtop sitting in the wine cellar; 2 of them are still round.

cheers!
